Andre´ Mathee

An accomplished IT leader with an MBA from the University of Stellenbosch Business School, where he refined his critical thinking and leadership skills and developed a keen understanding of managing businesses responsibly in both African and global multicultural environments. Over the past decade, André has led Information Security and Infrastructure teams within a group of companies in the Retail and Fintech sectors.

Specializing in Information & Cyber Security, Cloud technologies, Service Delivery, Infrastructure Management, Database Management, VOIP, and Networking, André has a proven track record of spearheading high-impact IT initiatives. His deep commitment to safeguarding people, places, and assets is evident in his strategic approach to reviewing IT Infrastructure, which has consistently resulted in substantial financial benefits and cost savings that enhance the bottom line.

In his most recent role as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at a JSE-listed company, André played a crucial role in protecting the organisation’s digital assets and driving comprehensive security strategies. His unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen makes him a formidable force in the IT industry.

Braam Mathee

Braam Mathee is a retired Chartered Accountant (SA) with a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Law from the University of Cape Town. With over three decades of experience, he is a seasoned Tax Compliance Specialist, having held senior roles in both corporate and governmental tax environments. His expertise spans across various tax domains, including income tax, capital gains tax, and VAT, with extensive knowledge in tax compliance and audit processes.

Braam has a rich background in tax management, previously serving as Finance Executive (Tax) at JD Group, where he oversaw tax filings, liaised with revenue authorities, and managed tax audits for several companies across South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, and Zambia. His work involved preparing and filing tax returns, reconciling tax liabilities, and ensuring accurate tax reporting for group companies. Before that, he honed his audit skills as a Senior Tax Official and Tax Auditor at the South African Revenue Service (SARS), where he led VAT audits and investigations into complex tax structures, and managed a team of auditors.

Earlier in his career, Braam completed his articles at PWC (formerly Theron Du Toit), where he gained a broad exposure to accounting, auditing, and tax issues. His deep knowledge and practical experience make him a valuable advisor in tax compliance and audit matters.
